Keflavík Swimming Pool

Keflavík’s first swimming pool opened in 1939, built by the Keflavík Youth Association. At the end of 1945 the open-air pool was handed over to the municipality, and work commenced on building over it.

The swimming-pool building, designed by State Architect Guðjón Samúelsson, opened in 1950. The locker rooms had space for

50 swimmers.
